My Noisy fan got me crazy and I almost threw the computer off the window

About four years ago I bought my personal office computer. I didn‘t want to buy any brand assembled computer so I‘ve decided to assemble it myself from the best parts I could find on the market. I guess for a geek like me that‘s must-do thing and I got the biggest/phattest case I could find with the best CPU, Memory and etc. and this computer works so well that I still believe that was my best investment ever! Until now. Actually the computer is still working quite well, no problems except one very noisy fan that I driving me insane!

Yesterday I finally got pissed off so much that I opened the case to see what is making so much noises. I was really amazed to see that the CPU fan was not the problem, but the motherboard north bridge chipset fan was going berserk. That the problem was not replacing it but finding a replacement fan. As I already had the case open, I‘ve decided that its not bad idea to visit the local computer store and get myself new one and change it but that didn‘t happen exactly like that....

The problem was that at our local computer store they never heard of "chipset fans" and I got really amazed by that. They tolled me that when this happens they change the whole motherboard. Wow! If I had to change my computer because of a squeaky little fan, I was going to be the dumbest geek on the planet. The store manager advised me to try to look in best-buy or on the Internet. I know that the Internet is the best price for such stuff, but I had the computer open and I needed that part at the moment not a day later, so I went to best buy. Guess what .. those people also don‘t sell Chipset fans. I got so upset and asked them if they have Video Card fans so I can adjust it to a Chipset usable situation, but guess what .. nope .. they don‘t have em!

Pissed even more, I went back to the office and got on my favorite online computer store. Yes NewEgg.com. I ordered quickly one fan (around 2pm) and I got it delivered next day at (1 pm). Less than 24 hours and I got what I needed, and I didn‘t even pay for rush order. NewEgg is the best!

Now I‘m so angry at all computer stores and I‘ve decided to never ever go to a local computer store and buy only from the Internet!
